Colile Mkhatshwa is a University of Mpumalanga graduate. She recently completed her Advanced Diploma in Nature Conservation (2020). She joined the Rivers of life research organization as an intern during her Work Integrated Learning programme in 2019. Colile worked on an alien invasive red claw crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus, looking on the impact it has on aquatic ecosystems. Colile is interested on studying the impact of land use activities on the well-being of aquatic ecosystems .Colile has experience  in macroinvertebrates and fish sampling, project coordination and environmental awareness.
