Aim and scope of the project: Rivers of Life scientists are collaborating closely with the Department of Agriculture & Land Administration and the Vets@White River practice to contribute to fisheries research and aquaculture activities in the region. This community engagement project also involves Dr O’Brien representing UMP at the Mpumalanga Aquaculture Forum.

Interesting and important outcomes/prospects: We’ve developed cage culture and breeding facilities in Mpumalanga and are working on yellowfish at the moment.
