In Jozini Dam, fisheries management requires a combination of knowledge of the distribution, abundances, and population sizes of all fishes that occur in the lake, information on the relationships between species, and the potential to sustainably use the fishery for recreational angling activities whilst conserving ecologically important species in the dam. Towards this, the aim of this study is to evaluate the diversity, distribution, abundance, and population sizes of fishes in the Jozini Dam and the interactions between species.
